Profile

Phil joined the Guildford Institute’s Trustee Board in February 2022 following his retirement from heading a large local charity. Prior to that he had held a number of senior roles in public sector including as South East Director at Natural England. Phil has lived in Godalming for most of his adult life and enjoys spending time with his family (including his two grandchildren), in his garden, reading, art and listening to and playing music (with more enthusiasm than skill…). Phil has thoroughly enjoyed his first term as a Trustee at the Guildford Institute and has been charmed by its atmosphere and ethic. He is keen to see it thrive and grow.
